Chinese brush painting is a type
of painting I have never experienced before. There is an art to the strokes,
and a special way to hold the brush. I learned to create a traditional bamboo
picture with leaves by painting with hard and light strokes in certain patterns
on rice paper. I had to practice a lot, but I finally got the hang of it. It
was also quite an experience being able to grind my own ink in a special Chinese
brush painting kit. I really enjoyed learning a new painting technique. I am
even considering buying my own Chinese brush painting kit so I can have fun
practicing other traditional techniques.
