Georgia O'Keefe Flowers

Georgia O’Keefe “made large-format paintings of enlarged blossoms, presenting them close up as if seen through a magnifying lens.” How I created this painting is by creating a focal point by looking through a mini window from a piece of paper. At first, it was a little difficult for me to magnify the part of the flower I was drawing, but I got the hang of it. I decided to draw the side of the flower with its petals and stem with a small leaf attached to the stem. I liked experiencing watercolor, even though I had hard time with the shading on some parts of the flower.
